WILL OF MARIA BOARD ALLEN I Mariah Allen of the city of Louisiana, County of Pike and state of Missouri, being of sound mind and disposing memory do make and publish and declare this my last will and testament hereby revoking all former wills made by me. i. I direct that all my just debts, my funeral expenses and the expenses of my last sickness be first paid out of my personal estate. ii. I hereby give and bequeath the remainder of my personal estate of whatever kind to my children Elizabeth Ann Miller, Mary Alice Orr and William Smith Allen. Said personal property is all to be distributed share and share alike among the said three children except one promissory note of six hundred dollars I hold of my son John Robert Allen which I desire and hereby direct to returned to him at my decease; and I further will that said John Robert Allen shall receive nothing more from my estate either real, personal or mixed except the said six hundred dollar note. iii. I give and bequeath to my children Mary Alice Orr, Elizabeth Ann Miller, and William Smith Allen my residence property on the corner of South Carolina, also my lot on corner of North Carolina and Tenth Street, in the city of Louisiana, Missouri to be used by them or any of them as a homestead and not subject to execution for the debts of any or all of said children, nor subject to partition, nor sale without the written consent of all the said devises living. iv. I further request and direct that in case of death of any of the said devises of the said real estate the interest of any such person shall vest in the surviving devise or devises under the same condition and provisions aforementioned. v. I hereby appoint my son John Robert Allen, Executor of this my last will and testament and request that he be not required to give bond as such. It is further my request that said administrator or executor shall receive no compensation for his services as executor. Signed, published and declared by the above named Mariah Allen to be her last will and testament in the presence of us who at her request and in her presence and in the presence of each other, have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses thereto.

On this twenty-sixth day of September 1894, in the City of Louisiana, Missouri, personally appeared Mariah Allen, the above testator William Cubbely and C. H. Robertson. The above named witnesses, and signed the above instrument as such testator, and witnesses and acknowledged that they did so of their free act and deed and for the purposes herein set forth.
