Maria arrived from Sweden w/ her father and he returned to Sweden after the wedding. We believe it was arranged. When her husband died in 1890, she remarried Ole E Olson and had 5 children. Due to farm failure, they moved from Iowa to Sawyer Co. Wisconsin, following son Peter. She died in the Hayward nursing home of heart disease and senility in 1948.
