Identity

Cochrane in History of Francestown, states that Daniel Bartlett married Abigail Foster of Greenfield. No records have been found for her specifically. Records for her children have variously written her name as Abigail, Maria (as appears in the Census), Theresa, and Thorissa Foster. Maria Ramsey appears on one record. The marriage record for her son, Charles, identifies her as Teresa Foster and his death record as Abigail Foster.

In the Sunnyside Cemetery, Bennington NH, the headstone for Theresa, wife of Daniel Bartlett is found with the simple inscription "Theresa, wife of Daniel Bartlett, Died June 12, 1889, Aet 77 years. Rest, Sweet Rest."
