Marguerite M. Aldrich Aug. 14, 1911 - Feb. 10, 2006

Marguerite M. Aldrich, 94, of Gibsonburg died Friday morning at the Hospice of Northwest OH in Perrysburg.

Born on Aug. 14, 1911, in Lindsey to Jesse L. and Hattie M. (Moll) VanNess, Marguerite married Paul L. Aldrich. They were married Dec. 17, 1931, in Toledo. He preceded her in death April 20, 1984.


Marguerite worked as a homemaker. She was a very active member of the Wayne Church of Christ and the women's auxiliary of the Gibsonburg American Legion Post and a Gold Star Mother.

Surviving her are children Jimmie L. (Jackie) Aldrich and Virginia P. (James W.) Moll, both of Gibsonburg, Franklin D. (Lenora) Aldrich of Amsden, Paul LaMar (Madeline) Aldrich of Fremont, Jerry L. Aldrich of Gibsonburg, Clair "C.L." (Sharon) Aldrich of Woodville and Paula Sue (Scott) Pertner of Gibsonburg; brothers Jesse VanNess of Fremont and Claude VanNess of Martin; sisters Clara Ellen Jenck of Fremont, Florence Shively of Gibsonburg and Dorothy Foss of Huron; 23 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren, and five great-great- grandchildren. Marguerite is preceded in death by her parents, husband, son David, who was killed in Vietnam, sisters Viola Schlea, Lulu Ward and Martha Shull, and brothers Dale, Paul, Harold and Charles.

Visitation: 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Herman Kinn-Veh Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Gibsonburg.

Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Minister John Amstutz officiating.

Burial: West Union Cemetery, Gibsonburg.

Memorials: In Marguerite's name to Hospice of Northwest OH, Perrysburg, the Wayne Church of Christ or the Gibsonburg Volunteer Fire Department.
