Marguerite Kelly Cameron of New City, NY, age 98, died peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, August 23. She was the daughter of Bernard J. Kelly and Mary Cecelia Hogan. Marguerite is survived by her three children, Alicia Tisi (Phil), Mary Flanagan, Daniel J. Cameron ( Susan), eleven grandchildren, Peter Tisi (Erin), Alicia Antonich (Matthew), Philip Tisi (Christine), Steven Tisi (Samantha), Christopher Cameron Flanagan (Rebecca), Elizabeth McNichol (Daniel), Lauren Thiffault (Matthew), Joseph D. Flanagan ( Sara), Christine F. Cameron, Allison R. Cameron, and Jenna E. Cameron. Marguerite was very proud of her 14 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Daniel J. Cameron, her son-in-law, Joseph M. Flanagan, and one brother and two sisters. Marguerite was born on January 26, 1917 in the Bronx and graduated from Cathedral High School and the Prescott Business School. She was employed by Shell Oil Company as an executive secretary and in later years by Fordham University. Marguerite was a member of the St. Barnabas Altar and Rosary Society for many years as well as a religion teacher for that parish. In recent years she enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Marguerite was an avid reader who also enjoyed mind challenging games and saying her rosary daily. Her pride in her Irish heritage and deep love for her faith gave her peace and contentment. She is now in heaven dancing with her beloved Dan. A Memorial Mass will be held in Marguerite's Memory on Saturday, September 26th, 2015, 11:30am at St. Francis of Assisi Church in West Nyack, NY. Donations may be made to the United Hospice of Rockland, 11 Stokum Lane, New City, NY 10956.
