    GUILDERLAND, N.Y. -- Marguerite Louise Wardwell, 93, died Sept. 11, 2003, at St. Peter's Hospital in Troy. Born in Littleton, N.H., on Aug. 9, 1910, she was the daughter of Edwin and Louise Parker Johnson. She was raised and educated in Manchester, N.H. Mrs. Wardwell was a secretary for the Amoskeag Mills in Manchester, N.H., before her marriage, In 1940, she moved to Troy and Cohoes, N.Y., where she lived for many years. For the last 15 years, she had lived with her granddaughter, Karen, most recently in Guilderland. She was a lifelong Boston Red Sox baseball fan and last Sunday, Sept. 7, she cheered on her beloved Red Sox at Yankee Stadium with her granddaughter, Karen and her fiance, Doug, and her grandson, Terry. During the game, she held up a sign that read: "Red Sox Oldest Fan, I was 8 years old when Boston last won the World Series." She was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth Wardwell. Family members include two sons, Robert Wardwell of Naples, Fla., and Gerald Wardwell of Inverness, Fla.; a daughter, Nancy Fitzgerald of Clifton Park, N.Y.; grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Hilda Wardwell of Manchester, N.H. SERVICES: The funeral will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Parker Bros. Memorial, 2013 Broadway, Watervliet, with Pastor Joe Irvine officiating. Interment is in Memory's Garden, Colonie.
