"Frederick de Vaux, y. man, native of St. Hubert in Artois, son of Nicolas de Vaux, habitant at Manheim, and Margueritte Bonde, y. woman, daughter of Jean Bond, bourgeois at Manheim, have been married in this Church the 12 of February 1668."

Frederick de Vaux and his wife Marguerite Bonde/Bonte were much in demand as sponsors at baptisms during this period [late 1660s, early 1670s]. The church records show one or both of them as sponsors in six instances.
