DOD is approximate. First wife of Daniel Kifer was Margaret Spang. In the 1840 census Daniel resided in Leechburg PA. In the 1850 census Margaret was 38 and Daniel 67, both born in Pennsylvania living in Leechburg. They did not have children.
Margaret was alive in the 1860 census in Allegheny, PA with husband Daniel. She was age 45 and he was age 57 (born 1803) and they had a child, Isaac Kifer, age 5 in the household. Daniel was a farmer and owned his own farm. Both Margaret and Daniel were born in Pennsylvania.
By 1870 Margaret was no longer in the census with Daniel. This is likely the Margaret, wife of Daniel buried in Leechburgh who died between 1860-1870.
