Mrs. James Pearce Rites Tomorrow
Funeral services for Mrs. Margaret Richey Pearce, 81, of 4134 11th N.E. will be held at 3 o'clock tomorrow at Wiggen & Sons chapel. Cremation will follow. Mrs. Pearce died in a rest home Tuesday. She was the widow of James L. Pearce, early Grant Co. official and Renton banker, who died in 1936. Mrs. Pearce was born and reared in Indianola, Iowa. After several years in Minnesota, she and her husband moved to Eastern Washington in 1904. They lived several years in Ephrata, where her husband was the first sheriff's deputy. He later became Grant County treasurer & assessor. Mrs. Pearce lived in Renton 1918-1924. Her husband was one of the first officers of Old Citizens Bank of Renton. Surviving are: son Loren S. Pearce and brothers Fred E. Richey with whom she lived, and Shirley L. Richey, Marmarth, N.D.; 3 granddaughters and 4 great-grandchildren.
