Margaret North was married in 1593 at Willian in Hertfordshire to a blacksmith named William Stretcher. The couple had five children, although two died as infants and a third died as a teenager. Both their surviving sons lived to adulthood and married. When William Stretcher died in 1630, he left his house at Willian to Margaret for her lifetime, after which it was to revert to the younger son, George. Therefore Margaret was still alive in 1630, but no further sightings of her have yet been found.
