Information on Margaret Lockridge

According to Morton in "History of Bath County, Virginia" he claims that Margaret, widow of Robert Gay, decedent of 1762, married John Ramsey who in 1766 bought 220 acres in the Cowpasture "below Donnelley" [Morton, Bath, p. 28]. (Note: needs additional research).

Hi Joan, I descend from a Robert Gay who married Margaret Lockridge. I know that she was somehow associated with the Weems family and who I believe may be part of the group of original settlers in Calfpasture VA in 1744. I descend from Robert Gay and Margaret's daughter Sarah Gay. This Sarah Gay married William Campbell (another of these original settlers) whose daughter Margaret Campbell would marry Thomas Gillham (yet another of these original Calfpasture VA settlers).

I am extremely interested if this James Lockridge, Rev. War Patriot could be my own ancestor as well. Thomas Gilllham, even though born in 1710 in Ulster IR, was and I imagine that all of these Scotsmen were Patriots as well!

Any info that can help me find my way back to the father of my Margaret Lockrigde would be most welcomed.
