    Margaret Given May 30, 1918 - December 15, 2009
GIVEN Margaret "Helen" nee LawrensonIt is with such great sadness and heartache, we announce the passing of our beloved Helen Given on December 15, 2009 at Royal Columbian Hospital, New Westminster, at the age of 91. Born in Graysville, Manitoba, May 30, 1918. She lived in Saskatchewan for a number of years, where she taught school. She joined the RCAF and was stationed in Victoria for 3 years, where she met her husband, William Gordon Given. She was predeceased by parents, William and Margaret Lawrenson; brothers, Wallace Lawrenson and Ralph Lawrenson and sister Ethel Branscombe. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, William Given; 3 children, Barry (Carol), Robert (Janet) and Lynne; 4 grandchildren, Jason, Tara, Cassandra (Aaron) and Joseph and 2 great-grandchildren, Hailey and Hannah. She had a great love for music, played the piano and sang in the church choir. She had the sweetest smile that would light up a room. Her deep religious and spiritual belief gave her comfort to the end. Please join us in the Celebration of Life that will be held on December 18, 2009 at 1:00 pm at the Avalon Surrey Funeral Home on 13288 - 108th Avenue, Surrey. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Salvation Army or local food bank would be greatly appreciated.
