Margaret Mae Auxter Area resident Margaret Mae Auxter, 82, of SR 590, Burgoon, died early Friday afternoon, March 12, 1999, at Fremont Memorial Hospital. She was born in Fort Seneca to John Jacob and Jeanette (Morgan) Lavo Aug. 10, 1916. On Nov. 5, 1935, she married Russell E Auxter at Grace Lutheran Church. He died Dec. 4, 1987. Survivors include: two sons, Larry and Mark Auxter, both of Fremont; three daughters, Christel Weixler of Louisville, Ky, Marcella Widmer of Gibsonburg, and Earlene Myers of Santa Barbara, Calif.; a sister, Bertha Mart in of Banning, Calif.; a brother, Arthur Lavo of St. Petersburg, Fla .; 14 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by five brothers, Ervin, Harold, Albert, Charles and Donald Lavo, and two sisters, Loretta Tackett and Kathryn Hade. Mrs. Auxter was a graduate of Old Fort High School and was a homemaker and school custodian at Lakota East School for almost 18 years, retiring in 1983. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, the Altar Guild and Women's Home Missionary, as well as a Sunday school teacher for several years. Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Grace Lutheran Church, with visitation one hour prior to the funeral. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. There will also be visitation 7-9 p.m. Monday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Nopper-Karlovetz Mortuary.
