- 139. Margaret Irwin was born about 1730 in Ireland. She was also known as Margaret Erwin. She died about 1780 in Swannanoa, Buncombe, North Carolina. She was buried at land above Burton Patton's home on highway 70, east of Azalia in Buncombe, North Carolina. She was a 6th great grandaunt of PLO.
- Margaret Irwin was the tenth and last child born to James and Jane Irwin. Margaret was born in Cumberland County, Pennsylvania. Her father, James Irwin, was born in Ireland about 1700. He married Jane or Jean in Ireland and at least three of their children were born there before they sailed for the states in 1727-29.
