Margaret Esther 'Marge' Nye March 4, 1913 -- June 4, 2004

Margaret Esther "Marge" Nye, 91, died Friday in Peoria, Ariz.

She was born in Marion to Charles E and Grace M (Queen) Himmenger. She gra duated from Marion Harding High School, having written the original Mari on High School fight song. She married Kenneth C Nye on Jan. 19, 193 6, in Toledo and he is deceased.

Marge was a retired U.S Postal clerk from the Bettsville Post Office. S he was a former member of Zion United Church of Christ and its guild and t he Bettsville Recreation Board.

She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed her family, re ading, writing, crocheting, quilting, gardening, traveling, camping and fi shing.

Surviving are daughters Barbara A (James) Darr of Glendale, Ariz., and Sha ron J (Albert) Leonard of Clyde; stepdaughter Carolyn S Hamilton of Bettsv ille; sister Glenna Ebaugh of Bullhead City, Ariz.; grandchildren Jo Ann B anda, Jill Simpson, Steven Darr and Marc Darr; two stepgrandchildren and s even great-grandchildren; and cousins, nieces and nephews. In additi on to her husband, she is preceded by her parents and brother Weldon Himme nger.

Memorial service: Saturday in Peoria, Ariz.

Graveside gathering: June 21 at Trinity Cemetery, Risingsun.

Memorials: Veterans organizations or donor's choice.
