Margaret used stepfathers surname, Morgan, after her mother's marriage to him.

Margaret's grandfather Samuel Allison was living on a farm near Chandler, OK. after she, Margaret, was born. He was hard of hearing. Margaret would visit him in OK. Her grandfather used the "cluck cluck" sound to get his horses to run. Then he would slow them down. Margaret would "cluck cluck" and get the horses to run, and her grandpa didn't know why they were running because he couldn't hear Margaret's "cluck cluck". ex Margaret Ruth Hickman Kirkland.

  14. According ot Margaret, Mom and Dad were living in Wichita in 1924, but she is not sure it was 1924. Mom was expecting her first child. Margaret believes the child was born in September. [Margaret is mistaken. I was born in September, but Edward, her first child was born in Colorado Springs in July 1924. Margaret may not have known of Edward.]
Margaret says that when she was smaller [before 1924?] Dad served two churches. She also says that once after Dad and Mom were married, she, Margaret, went to Colorado with them. He had a Model T Ford, the kind with the door in the middle of the car. [A three door Ford.] They went over the Great Divide. [I remember Dad talking about going in the mountains in a Model T. Sometimes it was necessary to back up the hill because the gas tank was under the driver's seat and there wasn't any fuel pump or vacuum tank to push gas to the engine.] Margaret says they would camp by a stream and Dad would catch fish.
