Margaret was dangerously ill at the time of her baptism. The Baptism took place in St. Columbans Parish in Cornwall, Canada.

She was a practical nurse and served as President of the Jefferson County Practical Nurses, NY State, Inc. and of the Spanish American War Vet. Auxiliary. She was a member of the Garland Rebekah Lodge, Order of the Eastern Star, the VFW and the Cooties Organization of the VFW and was a volunteer for the American Red Cross.
