Crumrine surname comes from her children's records. Her son Brady married a Crumrine. George Crumrine (1776-1832) died in Washington county, Pennsylvania and he had 100s of descendents who lived there. His 2 sons George (1800-1864) and Jacob (1802-1869) are the best candidates for Margaret's father. Another son William (1812-1890) married Matilda McCarty (1826-1907). George's and Jacob's first known children were born in 1824 and 1830 respectively. Daniel Crumrine (1805-1872), another son of George, is on the same census sheet as Margaret (as is Jacob and his mother Elizabeth). Daniels first known child was born abt 1833 and his wife was born in 1812. John Crumrine (1779-1857), George's brother, also died in Washington county, but he had no sons who might have been Margaret's father. Samuel Crumrine (abt 1822-aft 1880) lived in Washington county in 1870 and also lacks a father. George is the best candidate. References
