  3. Obituary - Mrs. George Dark, in Neepawa Press. (Neepawa, Manitoba)
    8 May 1969.

Everyone who knew her are sorry to hear of the death of Mrs. George Dark. Mrs. Dark, the former Miss Coutts, passed away Wednesday, April 29 in a Winnipeg nursing home at the age of 85 years.
Mr. And Mrs. George Dark and family played an important role in the Franklin District for a number of years in the early 20’s. They were farmers on the Duncan McMartin farm where Mrs. May Ritchie now lives. Mr. Dark took pride in his fine horses and threshed with William Rath.
The Darks had two sons, Morley, who became fatally ill at the age of eight, and James who followed the teaching profession, and is still a principal at South Portage Air Base.
The boys also lived with their parents in the Franklin District and Jim spent part of a summer here about five years ago, working in the capacity of a registered seed grain field inspector.
