During this period she may have worked in the household of the VALIANT family of Cambridge, MA , where her elder sister, Katherine CORBETT, was employed as a cook for many years.
- ↑ According to family story told by my mother, Mary Grace MOORE, Margaret may have worked as a domestic servant in the household of the VALIANT family in Cambridge, MA for some period after her husband's death in January 1916. During the First World War she also knit hundreds of pairs of socks, mittens and head warmers for the Army, allegedly damaging her vision while knitting late into the night by lamplight.
