The maiden name Chrisman derives from researchers of Hannah that married John Lewis Pearcy but there is NO primary source documentation that John Lewis Piercy's wife Hannah was a Cunningham or the daughter of John Cunningham Sr and his wife Margaret MNU of Augusta County, VA.

Yes, John Lewis Pearcy and his wife Hannah removed to Augusta and purchased land from John Cunningham Jr but that doesn't make Hannah a Cunningham. The name Hannah is NOT a Cunningham name... nor can I find any documentation to Kaye's statement John Cunningham Sr m: Margaret Chrisman. I find no marriage record for any Cunninghams marrying a Chrisman/Christman/Christian nor can I locate the marriage record of John Lewis Pearcy to Hannah MNU or Cunningham. Kaye's line of descent is all over the world wide web but there is no primary source documentation to back any of it up. Any tree that gives John Cunningham Sr's wife Margaret the maiden name of Chrisman should be suspect TMW
