James (Farquhar) GRAY FARQUHAR married Margaret BAILLIE ( „Genealogical account of the principal families of Ayrshire“ by George Robertson,1824) or in 1801 Margaret Cochrane BAILLIE (b. abt. 1780 at Gilmilnscroft) (latter day saints). Margaret was daughter of Major James BAILLIE by Margaret ROSS, eldest daughter of Lord Anchorville, a Senator of the College of Justice, by whom he had the children John, Margaret and Jane. Major Baillie was of the 7th or Royal Fuzileers and Fort Major of Fort George ( „Genealogical account of the principal families of Ayrshire“ by George Robertson,1824).
