Margaret Babbs, bapt. 27 Feb. 1544/5, dau. of Nicholas Babbs; m Richard Crampton. Richard was registrar and collector to the Archdeacon of Suffolk as early as 1553, continuing until his death, when his wife Margaret and then Robert Peck took over. Richard Crampton executed one Peck will and witnessed another. The will of Richard Crampton in 1580 mentions brothers-in-law Richard and Nicholas Babbs.
