    Marcelene "Marcie" was born at Anson, Texas to Arlie and Willie Frances (Billie) Wood. She married Howard Collier and they had four children all of whom survive her. Her children in birth order: Ron Collier and his wife Freda of Edmond OK, Wes Collier and his wife Marilyn of Oklahoma City, OK, Dennis Collier and his wife Wanda of McAlester, OK, and Linda Collier Chambers and her husband Neal of Oklahoma City, OK. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. As a part of the generation that went through the "Great Depression" of the thirties, Marcelene valued hard work and making a living. She was the loving and working backbone of the family as she and her husband, Howard, operated motion picture theatres in Hartshorne and Geary, OK. Marcelene married Edward Pippenger late in life. They made their home in Tecumseh, OK. It was truly a beautiful autumn of life for them. They enjoyed listening to gospel music, attending church together and dancing (sometimes three to five times per week) until their health would not permit it. Ed pre-deceased Marcelene. In failing health, Marcelene received excellent and loving care at Sommerset Assisted Living and from Good Shepherd Hospice until her death. A memorial service officiated by her son, Wesley Collier, will be held at 10am, March 31, 2012 in the Candlewood Chapel at Ford Funeral Service, 305 S. Sooner Road, Midwest City, OK followed by burial at Memorial Park Cemetery, 13313 North Kelley, Oklahoma City, OK.
