Mrs.. Manie P. Graves GRAHAM — Mrs.. Manie “Julia” Perry Graves, 88, of 7916 McBane Mill Road, died at 3:35 p.m. Tuesday, May 4, 1999, at the Laurels of Chatham after several years of failing health, one week critical.

A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late Mr. George Eli Graves and the daughter of Mr. Aron Eurius Perry and Mrs.. Esther Furgerson Perry, both deceased. She was a homemaker and a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Miss Frances M. Graves of the home; and a brother, Mr. Ervin Perry of Graham.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Ms. Evie Perry Graves; and a brother, Mr. Diffie Presley Perry.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Mount Olive Baptist Church by the Rev. Larry Glover-Wetherington and the Rev. E. Paul West. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

The family will be at McClure Funeral Home in Graham from 7 to 9 this evening and at other times at the home.
