    She was the second wife of Malachi Lawrence Peavy, whom she married circa 1896. At the time of her marriage, she was just sixteen years old, while her husband was forty years her senior (he was 56).

    Despite their age difference, Arzetta and Malachi were married for 36 years and were the parents of eight children.

    Arzetta was widowed in 1932, surviving her husband by twenty-five years.
