Mae Marie Bordner Mae Marie Bordner, 85, of East Golfview Drive, Tiffin, died Tuesday, May 1 8, 2004, at her residence. She was born April 13, 1919, in Seneca CO to the late Raymond and Helen (E dwards) Feasel. Her husband, Dalton H Bordner, whom she married April 2 2, 1937, died June 3, 1973. Surviving are: two nephews, Jerry Kishler Howard and his wife, the form er Jacqueline Huffman, formerly of Attica, now of Denver, Colo.; and Ke nt W (Carolyn) Howard of Gaithersburg, Md.; a nephew, the late Col. Fred K ishler Jr, U.S.A.F; two nieces, Sue Ann Howard of Port St. Lucie, Fla., a nd Martha (John) Elchert of Houghton MI.; a sister-in-law Phyllis Rain es of Sebring, Fla. and her son, a nephew, Steven (Carol) Raines of Columb us; and her first cousin, Fred E (Marjorie) Kishler Sr of Tiffin. Mrs. Bordner, a homemaker, graduated in 1936 from Columbian High School a nd attended Tiffin University for a year. She was a member of Washingt on St United Methodist Church in Tiffin. Mae was a member of the Women's OH State Golf Association (W.O.S.G.A) Boa rd of Directors from 1973-1993. Her most prominent position, while on t he board, was that of Official Starter. Since 1955, she has been a memb er of Mohawk Golf Club, Tiffin and was instrumental in having that club ho st the W.O.S.G.A Amateur Event on three occasions. As a member of Mohawk G olf Club, Mae served on the Board of Directors for three years. She was al so Club Champion in 1975, 1976 and 1977. A member of Boca Teeca Country Club in Boca Raton, Fla., Mae was Club Cham pion in 1977 and 1978. Her list of championships include the Toledo Distri ct Women's Golf Association Senior Champion in 1978. In September 2002, M ae became advisor to the newly initiated Women's Golf Program at Tiffin Un iversity. Her generosity of time and financial support include Ashbrook Ce nter at Ashland University, Tiffin University (her alma mater) and the Bet ty Jane Center, Tiffin. Those who have played in the W.O.S.G.A Amateur Championship during the yea rs remember her as the Starter and have many fond memories of Mae on the f irst tee. She always prided herself on maintaining an "On Time" starting s chedule. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 25, 2004, at Washingt on St United Methodist Church, with Pastor Gregory Sellers officiating. Bu rial will be in Fairmont Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Monday, May 24, at Hannay-Traunero Funeral Hom e, 214 S Monroe St., Tiffin OH 44883 (419) 447-3113. A luncheon will be held at Mohawk Country Club following the burial.
