Ottawa (IL) Daily Times, Aug 9, 2006: Madeline M. (Corliss) Tullis 1938-2006 OTTAWA - Madeline M. Tullis, 67, of Ottawa, died Monday morning, Aug. 7, at St. Margaret's Hospital in Spring Valley. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Gene Owsley officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Mueller Funeral Home. Mrs. Tullis was born Nov. 20, 1938, in Lincoln, Neb., to Ralph Rosser and Marie Ruth (Broad) Corliss. She married Beryl Tullis on June 2, 1962, in Chicago. She attended Doane College in Nebraska and received an associate degree from Illinois Valley Community College. She was a member of Martha Mary Guild, Crafts Club, Bible Study, Ottawa Junior Women's Club and First Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school. She is survived by her husband; two daughters, Linda (Mike) Pubentz of Ottawa and Cheryl Ann Damron of La Salle; a son, Steven Beryl (Georgia) of La Salle; five grandchildren, Ryan Michael, Katherine Marie and Jenna Christine Pubentz, Jacob Ryan Damron and Jessica Lynn Peterson; and two brothers, Ralph Rosser Corliss Jr. of California and James (Terrie) Corliss of LasVegas. She was preceded in death by her parents. Memorials may be directed to First Baptist Church. Pallbearers will be Jim and Ralph Jr. Corliss, Mike Pubentz, Ray Mitchell, Ben Luense, Blairant Beals and Marvin Carlson. |
