- Mabelle's parents are sourced on her marriage record 1
- Mabelle was known as "Donna" to her family and friends.
- Family members do not know what ever became of Mabelle after the birth of her third child Everett, in 1912. Family stories were that she was ill and could not look after her children and that is why they were raised by their paternal grandmother, Louisa.
- Possible record match: 1920 census where a "single" "Mabelle Olmstead" is boarding with the Himmelsbach family in Queens and working as a Sales Lady 4
- Location in 1930 is unknown
- 1940 census lists her living in an apartment in Manhattan with her divorced sister Helen who is working as a beautician. Mabelle is listed as married with no occupation.
- 1947 - Mabelle and Robert Olmstead are officially divorced in Bronx county court.
- Note: she is NOT the "Mabelle Olmstead" who died Jul 1968 in Rye, Westchester, NY. That Mabelle was the wife of Edmund Olmstead.
