- ↑ Mrs. Mable Patterson Teague McDonald, age 84, of Murphy, NC passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2006 in the Murphy Medical Center in Murphy. Born in Union County, GA, she was the daughter of the late John Lawson Patterson and Bertha Turner Patterson. She was a member of Mt. Zion (The Glade) Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband Harry McDonald.
She is survived by a son, Jackie R. Teague of Blue Ridge; daughters and son-in-law, Katherine and Durwood Queen of Acworth, GA, Carolyn Williamson of Jacksonville, FL, and Mary Deerwester Jockel of Jacksonville, FL; a brother, Franklin Patterson of Blairsville; 6 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and 2 great great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Thursday, February 9, 2006 at 11 a.m. from the Atkins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Gene Martin officiating. Interment followed in Mt. Zion (The Glade) Church Cemetery. For those desiring, donations in memory of Mrs. McDonald may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 1925 Century Blvd, NE, Suite 10, Atlanta, GA 30345-3315.
