  2.   Lynn Trusty, 86, retired Arena area farmer, died October 8, 2004, at a Steele care center.

    Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 AM at Bethel Lutheran Church in Bismarck with the Rev. Tim Janks officiating. Burial will be at the Arena Cemetery.

    Visitation will be Monday from 12:00 - 9:00 PM at Eastgate Funeral Service in Bismarck and will continue on Tuesday, one hour prior to the service at the church.

    Lynn was born on May 3, 1918, in Tuttle, North Dakota, the son of Amos and Anne (Drayton) Trusty. He was raised and attended school in Tuttle. After graduating from Tuttle High School, Lynn delivered mail and after a year, moved to California and worked at Happy Home Dairy and later did road construction. He was a member of the United States Army from 1941 - 1946 and served in Texas, Tennessee, Louisiana, North Carolina, Massachusetts, California, and overseas in New Guinea, Cebu Island, Leyte, and Oriental Negrose.

    On June 7, 1946, he married Lenora Wutzke at Arena where the couple farmed for 33 years until retiring. They then moved to Wing. After Lenora's death in 1984, Lynn moved to Bismarck. He married Ilene Fuller in 1986.

    Lynn was a member of the American Legion and was a member of Lutheran churches in Arena, Wing, Mandan, and Bismarck.

    Survivors include his wife, Ilene of Bismarck; one son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Laurie Trusty of Bismarck; three daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Rodney Roth of Mandan, Donna and Ron Kirchofner of Rugby, North Dakota, and Frances and Tom Jenny of St. Cloud, Minnesota; four stepchildren and their spouses, Jerry and Dianne Fuller of Cottage Grove, Minnesota, Larry and Pat Fuller of Bismarck, Allan and Iris Fuller of Bismarck, and Karen and Mike Mittleider of Steele; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; eleven step-grandchildren; eight step-great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Don Trusty of Hinckley, Minnesota, and Floyd "Chuck" Trusty of Wauben, Minnesota.

    The family prefers memorials to the American Cancer Society.
