Lyndon Herbert Jones was born on 27th February 1907 at Newport in Monmouthshire, son of Selina Jones. She still lived at home with her parents at 110 Barrack Road in Newport at the time of Lyndon's baptism a couple of weeks later. She later moved to the London area, where she married in 1910. Lyndon stayed in Newport, appearing with his grandparents and their other children in the 1911 census, still at 110 Barrack Road.
By 1930, Lyndon had moved to the Dartford area, when he married Susan Priscilla Savage. They had one daughter the following year. The 1939 Register, taken at the outbreak of the Second World War, finds Lyndon and Susan living in Dartford. Lyndon's mother and stepfather were also living in Dartford by this time.
In 1952 Lyndon was of the executors of his mother-in-law's will. At this time he was working as a milkman.
Lyndon died in 1975, aged about 68. His mother outlived him by a couple of years. Susan outlived him by eleven years.
