L. W. B. Jackman, Baptists Here Say. .... the Rev. Mr. Jackman who is referred to as "an American medical missionary" shot Major H. D. Cloete dead at Sadiya, Assam, British India, a northeast frontier post, according to a Calcutta dispatch to the London Dail Mail, dated March 15. .... "reasons for the tragedy were domestic." ....... the Mr. Jackman reffered to unquestionably was the Rev. Lyman Ward Beech Jackman ..... He studied law as a young man, but gave it up for the ministry. He is an alumnus of Rochester Theological Seminary, Rochester, N.Y. and is 40 years old. Mr. and Mrs. Jackman have been working in Sadiya for ten years. They have two or three children.
