    At her home in Farina, Ill., Dec. 17, 1901, after a long and painful illness, Mrs. Lydia A. Saunders Tanner, in the 72d year of her age. She was married to Wm. C. Tanner, in Westerly, R. I., on the 22d of Feb., 1851, and lived with him more than fifty years. She was a constituent member of the Seventh-day Baptist church of Farina, Ill., and died in the triumph of faith. She was a faithful wife and a loving mother.
