    Sept. 21st Were baptized ... also Lenda the daughter of Samuel Melendy and Sarah his wife

  8. Lenda could be based on Melendy or it could be a nickname based on her given name. The Find A Grave memorial page gives her actual name as Lydia. A death record of her son names her as Laura. Of course, Linda is an obvious possibility. No first hand record giving a name other than Lenda has been found.
