June 19, 1698. Lidea, Dau. of Jonathan Gulliver [baptized].
↑ "Capt. James Leonard in right of his wife" receives a share in the distribution of Capt. Jonathan Gulliver's estate. Lydia married him as Lydia Gulliver but it was her second marriage, since her first marriage was to John Gulliver, as shown by the 12 Jan 1719/20 baptism of her daughter Anne, "Dau. of Mr John Gulliver (Capt. Gullivers son in law)". Compare to the 1718 baptism of Jerusha, "Dau. of Cap't Gulliver by my Daughter", showing Cap't Gulliver to be Jonathan, who married the daughter of the writer, Rev. Peter Thacher. Compare also to the baptism just 7 weeks prior of "Silence, Dau. of John Gulliver Junior". "Sylence" was born to John Gulliver and Margaret Hunt, per p. 30 and 128 of the Milton records. John Junior would presumably be the son of Nathaniel, b. 1699. This apparently leaves Lydia's husband to be son of Samuel, b. 1694?
