  8. Lydia Gaeth

    Mrs. Lydia Gaeth, 2535 S. Bay Port Road, Sebewaing, age 79, died early Saturday morning, October 18, 1986 at Bay Medical Center in Bay City following a brief illness.

    She was born May 22, 1907 in Linkville, the daughter of the late Charles and Augusta (Schledjeski) Dorsch. She married Arthur W. Gaeth in Linkville on December 18, 1927. He preceded her in death August 23, 1974.

    Mrs. Gaeth was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Kilmanagh, its Ladies' Aid, the Widow's Club, and the Lutheran Women's Missionary League.

    Surviving are 1 son and daughter-in-law, Clarence and Bonnie Gaeth, Owendale; 2 daughters and sons-in-laws, Loren and Dolores Elftman, Pigeon and Donald and Brenda Orban, Joplin, Missouri; 11 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren; also 1 sister, Mrs. Alvin (Viola) Schweitzer, Sebewaing, and several nieces and nephews.

    Four brothers and 7 sisters preceded her in death.

    The funeral service will take place at 1 p.m. Tuesday at St. John Lutheran Church in Kilmanagh, Rev. Robert Pfaff will officiate with burial in the church cemetery.

    Friends may call at the Dinkel-Juengel Funeral Home in Sebewaing from 2 p.m. Sunday until 11 a.m. Tuesday. She will lie in state at the church from 11:30 a.m. Tuesday until the time of service. Memorials may be made to St. John Lutheran Church.
