      Wood, Luther B., succeeded to the mountain home of his father. He was m 4 times and raised a very numerous family. His two last wives were daughters of William Stoddard. His son Martin P. was killed at Spotsylvania, VA, May 12, 1864. Another son, Henry C., was among the first to enter the service for three years. Mr. Wood died in 1865 aged 80.
