Aaron Bachelor, Hannah his wife and Luther Putnam all of Fletcher for $1900 received from Zerah Willowby of Fairfield, grant etc land which was heretofore deeded to the said Aaron Bachelor by Zerah Willowby by Deed dated 31 Oct 1810 except for land which Zerah Willoby heretofore deeded to John Strait for a more particular description of said land reference may be had to the said Deeds from said Willoby to said Bachelor and from said Willoby to said Strait. Description of land in Fletcher - 25 acres. The same 25 acres deeded by Stephen Bullard to Luther Putnam by deed dated 13 Mar 1815. Signed 9 Jan 1816. Recorded 10 Jan 1816.

Zerah Willoughby leased to Luther Putnam as follows: The farm on which the said Luther now lives & the same which he the said Luther deeded this day unto the said Zerak to have & to hold the above dimised premises unto him the said Luther his heirs executors administrators & assigns from the day of the date hereof so long as water runs or wood grows yealding & paying then for yearly & every year the sum of thirteen dollars on the first day of February, the first payment to be made the first day of February one thousand eight hundred & thirty provided always & of it is the true intent & meaning of these presents and the parties unto the same that if the rent hereby reserved shall be behind & unpaid for the space of thirty days after the same becomes due & right to be paid, that then & henceforth it shall & may be lawful for the said Zerah Willoughby his heirs & assigns ??? & when the said premises & every and any part or parcel thereof with the appurtances in the name of the ??? to renter & the same to have again & possess and enjoy.
They agreed he could buy the land for two hundred sixteen dollars & sixty six cents.

Know all men by these presents that I Lovell Putnam of Georgia in the County of Franklin and State of Vermont in consideration of the sum of one hundred dollars received to my full satisfaction of Luther Putnam of Fairfax in the County of Franklin and state of Vermont the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge, have given, granted, bargained, and sold, and by these presents do give, grant, bargain, sell, alien, release, convey & confirm unto the said Luther Putnam his heirs and assigns forever, a certain piece or parcel of land situate, lying, or being in the Town of Georgia aforesaid, to wit. Beginning at the southwest corner of a piece of land called the Mill lot, which I heretofore deeded to Levi Smith, thence west 20«sup»o«/sup» North to the line of Shephards Lot, thence north 20«sup»o «/sup»east until it strikes the line of the highway, thence easterly on the line of said highway to the said Mill lot, thence southerly eight rods to the first mentioned bounds, except what land was set off on an execution to the Widow Smith be the same more or less meaning to convey all my right & privileges to said described land - To have and to hold the above granted and bargained premises with the privileges and appurtances thereto belonging to the said Luther Putnam and his heirs and assigns, to his and their own proper use benefit, and behoof forever, and I the said Lovell Putnam for myself and heirs, executors, administrators and assigns, that at and until the ensealing of these presents I am well seized of the premises in fee simple; that I have good right and lawful authority to sell and convey the same to the said Luther Putnam in manner and form aforesaid, that they are free and clear of all incumbrances, and that I will warrant and defend the same against all lawful claims and demands of any person or persons whatever-In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 19«sup»th«/sup» day of February one thousand eight hundred and twenty nine Lovell Putnam (LS) Signed sealed and delivered In presence of Josiah Grout Elijah Grout

Know all men by these presents that we Luther Putnam of Fairfax and Lovel Putnam of Georgia both in the County of Franklin and State of Vermont for and in consideration of the sum of three hundred dollars received to our satisfaction of Noah B. Wells and Henry Wells both of St. Albans in the County and State aforesid the receipt of which sum we do hereby acknowledge to have been had in manner following, to wit, one hundred dollars thereof by the said Luther and the remaining two hundred dollars thereof by the said Lovel, have given, granted, bargained and sold, and by these presents do give, grant, bargain, sell, convey and confirm to the said Noah B. and Henry their heirs and assigns - the following described messuage, piece, tract & parcel of land, and the following described fixtures, implements, tools and utensils now appertaining to and being in & upon said messuage and land, all lying and being situate in George aforesaid, to wit, said land and messuage. Beginning at the southwest corner of the mill lot now owned by the heirs of Levi Smith thence running west twenty degrees north to the line of the Shepard lot so called, thence north 20 degrees east until it strikes the line of the highway, thence easterly on the line of the highway until it strikes the mill lot aforesaid, and thence southerly on the line of said Mill lot about eight rods to the first mentioned bounds, saveing and excepting all such share part and portion of said premises, and all such right estate interests and privilege or casement therein as has heretofore been set off on execution to, or otherwise acquired by the estate of Levi Smith or the administrator thereof or the widow of said Smith reference being had to the records of the Town of Georgia for discription thereof, and said fixtures, implements, tools and utensils being, one fulling mill, one copper kettle, one prep & clothiers bar, shearing machine, knapping frame, seven dozen of press papers tenter bars and hooks, buttermit tub and cloth brush, all being in and upon said premises and now in the use and occupation of David N. Babcock as tenant of the same and of the messuage and land aforesaid - To have and to hold the above granted and bargained premises with all the appurtances thereof and the said fixtures, implements, tools & utensils to them the said Noah B. Wells and Henry Wells their heirs and assigns to their and their use and benefit forever - subject nevertheless to a lease thereof executed by us to the said David N. Babcock on the 16«sup»th«/sup» day of March AD 1829 reference being expressly had to said lease in the hands of Aron S. Beeman the keeper thereof for the terms, stipulations and provisions of the same on both sides and subject also to the rights of the said Babcock as in said lease expressed, to become the owner of all the property aforesaid upon payment of one hundred and fifty dollars in addition to his rent, they the said Noah B. and Henry assuming upon themselves all liabilities to the said Babcock, which would otherwise rest upon us - - and we the said Luther & Lovell do severally conenant to and with the said Noah B. & Henry as follows - - the said Luther covenants that he is well seized of the messuage aforesaid in fee simple; that he has good right to convey the same, that the same is free and clear of incumbrances, and that he will warrant and defend the same against all lawful claims of any third person or persons whatsoever; always excepting in all the covenants aforesaid the said lease to the said Babcock, and all the rights of said Babcock as specified in said lease as inferable from the same and the said Lovel covenants that he is the absolute owner of said implements, tools & utensils and has good right to sell and convey the same - always excepting the lease aforesaid and all the rights of sd Babcock ???, the same or any of the provisions thereof -- In witness of all which we have hereto set our own hands and seals this 11«sup»th«/sup» day of April AD 1829 Luther Putnam (LS) Lovel Putnam (LS) Signed sealed and delivered in presence of Stephen Royce Jur. Know all men by these presents that I Luther Putnam of Fairfax in the County of Franklin & State of Vermont in consideration of the sum of three hundred dollars received to my satisfaction of Adolphus Major of Fairfax in the County of Franklin State of Vermont & the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge have given granted bargained & sold & by these presents do give grant bargain sell alien release convey & confirm to the said Adolphus Majors his heirs & assigns forever a certain piece or parcel of land situated lying or being in Fairfax bounded as follows Beginning at a stake standing at the southwest corner of Lot No 142 ??? to the original right of Nathaniel Barret & also being the corner of land ??? bu James Farnesworth thence 7«sup»o«/sup» west forty eight chains & twenty two links to a ??? & stones standing on the east line of the land formerly sold by P. Becman to Charles Wood thence east 7«sup»o«/sup» north about 19 chains & twenty links to Fletcher line thence south 19«sup»o«/sup» ? on Fletcher line about twenty six chains to the north west corner of ??? ??? 142 to the southern corner of said lot being the corner of land occupied by James Farnsworth thence west 7«sup»o«/sup» south ??? & eighteen chains & fifty links to the forst bounds containing one hundred acres with the allowance of roads. To have & to hold the above granted ??? with the privileges & appurtances belonging to the said Adolphus Majors his heirs & assigns to his & their own now proper use benefit & behoof forever & the said Luther Putnam do for myself heirs executors & administrators and assigns that at & until the ensealing of these presents & am well seized of the premises in fee simple that I have good right & lawful authority to sell & convey the same to the said Adolphus Majors in manner & form as above written they are free & clear of incumbrance that I will warrant & defend the same to the said Adolphus Majors his heirs & assigns again all lawful claims & demands of any person or persons whatsoever.
