↑Source:Barry, William. History of Framingham, Massachusetts, p. 355, says Luke "said not to have been of the same family". It is not known why he says this, but all similar baptisms are of this family, and there is no sign of any other Joshua in Framingham (the son bp. 1761 marries in 1785). No son Luke is named in his father's will of 1807, nor is any further record of such a Luke Parmenter found. Presumably he died very soon after his baptism to explain the close spacing to the next child.
