Joshua Parmenter [#10], s/o Amos Parmenter, m. Persis Permenter. He m. (2) --- Gates, m. (3) --- Winch.
[Note: the only Persis Parmenter that seems reasonable is d/o Deliverance, b. Sudbury 1735/36. But he left no will and there is no distribution in his estate. There is a deed of Deliverance and others to Joshua Parmenter and Amos Parenter Jr., but no relationship is mentioned, and as Joshua's brother Amos Jr. did not marry a Parmenter, no sign of any implied relationship. The marriage to Deborah Gates is in 1794, if that was him (more research needed, his son bp. 1761 would be old enough to marry too). A Find A Grave memorial has taken this idea and run with it, despite no gravestone. It should be noted that this would make Persis 16 when her first child was born, 15 when she married, so seems unlikely. Additionally no children are named Deliverance, or Ruth, after the alleged father and mother.]
