Urke who was born June 5, 1905 In Underwood Township near Vesta, Minnesota the daughter of Christian and Mary (Wilkens) Rust and who passed away on Sunday, June 23, 1968 at her home in Vesta, Minnesota at the age of 63 years and 18 days. She was baptized in Posen Township and confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church in Vesta. She attended Parochial School in Vesta. On February 22, 1928 she was united in marriage with Carl John Urke at Belview, Minnesota. Following their marriage they farmed near Redwood Falls, Wabasso and Marshall until moving into the Village of Vesta in 1965. Lucy Bertha Urke is survived by her husband; 2 sons, Dennis of Milroy and Kenneth of Marshall; 3 daughters, Mrs. Harris (Gladys) Reinboldt of Utica, Minnesota; Mrs. Ronald (Yvonne) Holmberg and Dianne of Vesta; 14 grandchildren; 3 brothers, Harry, Herman and William Rust all of Vesta; 3 sisters, Mrs. John (Erna) Dirnberger of Sacred Heart, Mrs. Emma Hughes of St. Paul and Mrs. Anna Schlemmer of Vesta. She was proceeded in death by one brother Henry and her parents. Services were at Ashford Presbyterian Church Milroy, Minnesota on Wednesday June 26, 1968 at 1:30 PM. Officiating was Edward G. Janky, Pastor. Songs included: Beautiful Isle of Somewhere, and There Is A Place Of Quiet Rest. Casket Bearers were: Harry Rust, William Rust, Herman Rust, John Dirnberger, Lloyd Stava and Paul Hasse. Burial was at the Vesta City Cemetery, Vesta Minnesota. Sunset Funeral Home Echo, Minnesota was in charge of the arrangements.
