- There is an obvious conflict with the birth date of Lucy and Levi. No birth record can be found for Lucy, whereas there is a record found for Levi, and the 1800 census indicates the family lived where Levi's birth is recorded. Lucy is given in the Merrick Genealogy p. 37 where it says, "m. --- Hunt, in Middlebury, Vt.; living in Boston, Mass., 1899." If this assertion was true, we would expect to find a marriage record, several census records, and probably a death record in Massachusetts, and none have been located. It is not clear what the marriage to a Mr. Hunt is based on, why his given name can't be discerned; and living in 1899 raises questions about what possible document this information could possibly be based on, since certainly this is after her parents died, and probably after all her siblings had died. It appears that sister Polly married Cyrus Hunt of Montague, and this may be some descendants confusion over an aunt Hunt?
