Lucy De Ros' brother, William De Ros of Ingmanthorpe, near Wetherby, was one of the thirteen 'Competitors' for Scotland. He had two daughters, one of whom was another Lucy De Ros. She married Robert De Plumpton kt.of Plumpton, Yorkshire, not unexpected, for Plumpton and Ingmanthorpe are less than four miles apart as-the-crow-flies. Their son, Sir William, married Alice De Swillington.
