In Lincklaen, N. Y., Dec. 26th, 1865, Wid. Lucinda Main, aged 90 years and 8 days. Mother Main was a native of Connecticut; removed in early life with her family to Chenango county, found their home among the hills of Lincklaen, where she has since lived, and labored, and won many warm friends, by her kind and generous nature. She was an active Christian, and if I mistake not, a member of the Seventh-day Baptist Church of Lincklaen.
She retained her powers of mind and body unusually well, until within three or four years; since when, she has been a child again, apparently lost, seeking for her home; and I have no doubt she has found it with God in heaven. May her mantle fall on her surviving children, and children's children, whom she lived to see to the fourth generation.
'Mother, thou art gone to rest; And this shall be our prayer, That when we reach our journey's end, Thy glory we shall share.' S. B. M.
