Lourine ``Rene Burnsworth, 94, of Connellsville, died Thursday, July 5, 2001, at home, comforted by her loving family. She was born Dec. 24, 1906, in Connellsville, a daughter of the late Caroline Kromer Krob Anthony and Jacob Krob. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Connellsville, and was an avid bingo player. Rene is survived by nine children: daughters, Viola Nicholson, Esther and John Nicholson, Edith and Tom Porterfield, Patty and Jay Mulnix, Marie Sines and companion Bob Wood, all of Connellsville, and Caroline Howard of Greensburg; sons, Orville and Betty Burnsworth, Donald and Hilda Burnsworth, Thomas and Joan Burnsworth; a brother, Carl and Sylvia Anthony of Connellsville; 41 grandchildren; 73 great-grandchildren; 18 great-great-grandchildren; 25 stepgrandchildren; also many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Orville Burnsworth (1973); sons, Raymond, Walter, Harry, Richard and Carl Burnsworth; a daughter, Irene; an infant daughter; sisters, Charlotte, Gertrude, Madeline, Sophia and Margaret; brothers, Harry and Walter Krob; two sons-in-law, Frank Howard and William Nicholson; and stepfather, Nicholas Anthony. Friends will be received in the PAUL G. FINK FUNERAL HOME INC., 418 N. Pittsburgh St., Connellsville, Friday from 4 to 9 p.m., Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. until noon, the hour of the funeral service, with the Rev. Robert Moskowitz officiating. Interment will follow in Green Ridge Memorial Park, Pennsville.
