  1. Louise Garnier, in Quebec Federation of Genealogical Societies, Family Origins, 1621-1865.

    born 1632 in Marans St-Étienne, Charente-Maritime, France
parents: Élie Garnier and Marie Bréau
    spouse: Pierre Goguet or Goyette

A baptism date isn't given, so it is assumed the birth year is derived.

  2. Louise Garnier, in Gabriel Drouin. Quebec Vital and Church Records (Drouin Collection), 1621-1968.

buried 18 Jan 1712 in Montreal, age 94

This might or might not be her, in spite of the age given (she would have been about 80 if this is her burial). It was not uncommon for age at death to be exaggerated, especially for an elderly person.

    1:1:253.

    Louise Garnier, b 1631; m 1659, à Pierre Goguet.

Note that her marriage date is too late - it should say "before 1659", which is when they immigrated to Quebec as husband and wife, with a daughter.

Her information is presented in such a way as to imply that her parents were Charles Garnier and Jeanne LaBraye. However, they were the parents of the first Louise listed in the entry (wife of Jean Pichard and Jacque Morin). The remaining women (Marguerite, Louise, and Michelle) were (based on more recent research) the daughters of Élie Garnier and Marie Bréau.

  4. Pierre Goguet, in Filby, P. William, ed. Passenger and Immigration Lists Index, 1500s-1900s. (Farmington Hills, MI: Gale Research, 2006).

immigrated in 1659, arriving in Montreal
with wife L. Garnier and daughter Marie-Anne
