    DOBBS FERRY, Aug. 21. - The condition of Mrs. Louisa Olmstead, sixty-seven, of 415 Fulton Avenue, Mount Vernon, critically injured in an automobile accident on Saw Mill River Parkway at Ashford Avenue yesterday, remained unchanged last night, officials of Dobbs Ferry Hospital reported. Mrs. Olmstead suffered a fractured neck in the accident, in which two other persons also were injured. The injured were passengers in a machine operated by Mrs. George Mason [her granddaughter], twenty-five, of 1845 Hobart Street, New York City. According to police, Mrs. Mason was proceeding north on the parkway when she failed to stop for a red light at Ashford Avenue and crashed into the rear of an automobile operated by Dr. Justin Zender, forty, of 1 Ardsley Terrace, Irvington. Mrs. Olmstead, sitting in the rear seat, was thrown forward by the impact and suffered a fractured neck. Her condition is very critical. Dr. Zender, who was riding alone in his car, escaped uninjured, Jacelin Mason, six, of the New York City address, and Mrs. Anna Willsinson, both passengers in Mrs. Mason's car, were also injured in the crash.

    Broken Neck Suffered on Thursday Proves Fatal To Passenger.
    Mrs. Louisa Olmstead, 67, of 415 Fulton Avenue, Mount Vernon, injured last Thursday in an automobile accident on Saw Mill River Parkway at Ashford Avenue, died Saturday at Dobbs Ferry Hospital as a result of injuries sustained in the crash. Mrs. Olmstead suffered a fractured neck in the accident, in which two other persons also were injured. The injured were passengers in a machine operated by Mrs. George Mason [her granddaughter], 25, of 1845 Hobart Street, New York City. According to police, Mrs. Mason was proceeding north on the parkway when she failed to stop for a red light on Ashford Avenue and crashed into the rear of an automobile operated by Dr. Juston Zender, 40, of 1 Ardsley Terrace, Irvington. Mrs. Olmstead, sitting in the rear seat, was thrown forward by the impact and suffered a fractured neck. Two other passengers in Mrs. Mason's car suffered minor injuries when the machine overturned after the crash. Dr. Zender, who was riding alone in his car, escaped uninjured.
