Louisa H. Goad was the first wife of Arnold Malin. She filed a petition for divorce, but it was rejected by the Kentucky Senate in a hearing on 8 Jan 1835. ... Mr. Wingate, from the committee of religion, made the following reports, viz: The committee of religion, in obedience to an order of the Senate, have had under consideration the petition of Louisa H. Malin, praying a divorce from her husband Arnold Malin, and beg leave to report the following resolution thereon, to-wit: Resolved, That said petition ought to be rejected. [Page 97 Journal of the (Kentucky) Senate Jan. 9. Friday, January 9, 1835.] Old Goad Cemetery is located 1 1/2 miles East of White Plains, KY, about 1 mile off Highway 62 on George Harvey's farm.
