PIONEER FAMILY DESCENDANT IS TAKEN BY DEATH
Mrs. Luella Huffman Ohmer Passes Away Friday Following Short Illness.
Mrs. Luella Huffman Ohmer, 57 years of age, died at her home, Brookside and Emerson Avenue, at 6:30 o’clock Friday morning following a short illness. Mrs. Ohmer had been a resident of Dayton all her life and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Huffman, pioneer residents of Dayton. Her father was in the wholesale grocery business in Dayton during his lifetime and the residence district known as Huffman Hill was named after him. Mrs. Ohmer was known to large circle of friends but had lived a generally quiet and retiring life among them.
She is survived by three children,
Horace G. Ohmer, local realtor;
Charles Huffman Ohmer, service manager of the Ohmer Fare Register company and
Mrs. George Patterson, of Orlando, FL.
A sister, Miss Mabel Huffman, of Dayton, and
a brother, Harry C. Huffman, of Binghampton, NY also survive.
Funeral arrangements had not been completed Friday morning.
